Northbourne Park School is a successful independent IAPS day and boarding school for boys and girls aged between Nursery and 13 years old, set in beautiful parkland between Canterbury and Deal, Kent.  We are currently recruiting the following positions:
 

Minibus Driver – Part Time required immediately

We require a minibus driver to start with us as soon as possible. Working hours are on a shift pattern: mornings between 6-8.15am, afternoons 1.30-4.30pm and evenings 5-8pm Monday to Friday and alternate Saturdays.  Consideration will also be given to those who are only able to work mornings or evenings, please stipulate this requirement on the application form.

All applicants should have a D1 entitlement on a clean driving licence.  Rate of pay £9.13 per hour.

Housekeeping Supervisor

This full time position working throughout the year requires someone who is reliable, self-motivated and proactive.  The successful candidate will be responsible for all matters relating to the cleanliness and hygiene of all school buildings as well as the in-house laundry and line managing a small team of Housekeeping Assistants. Ensuring Cosh and Risk assessments are compiled also forms part of the job.

The working hours are 8.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday and alternate Saturdays during the school term from 8.30am to 2.30pm. During school holidays, 7 hours per day, times may be negotiated. Duties will also include assistance with the set up and break down of facilities hired to outside organisations.

Salary is £17,500 to £18,135 per annum; benefits include pension scheme, life assurance, 25 days holiday and school meals (during term time).

Maintenance and Facilities Assistant

This full time position working throughout the year requires someone who is reliable and self-motivated. The successful candidate will be part of a team to ensure that pro-active and re-active day-to-day maintenance work is carried out to the standards required along with assisting in the completion of project work as required.

  • Practical DIY skills to carry out minor repairs
  • Is well organised, flexible and proactive attitude to work
  • Is computer literate especially with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Is able to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Knowledge of Safe working practices
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team with the ability to manage workload
  • good problem solving skills
  • awareness of health, safety, security and hygiene issues
  • to be physically fit
  • a willingness to work flexibly

The working hours are 7.30am to 4.30 pm Monday to Friday and alternate Saturdays during the school term. 

Salary is £21,000 per annum; benefits include pension scheme, life assurance, 25 days holiday and school meals (during term time).
