English Summer Adventure Camp

Introducing Northbourne Park's English Summer Adventure Camp

Real experiences. Real friendships. Real English

Two weeks of immersive English and outdoor adventure in beautiful rural Kent, in South East England.

Sunday 5 July – Sunday 19 July 2026.

Northbourne Park is delighted to introduce its new English Summer Adventure Camp for overseas pupils aged 8–14. Give your child an unforgettable summer with this two-week residential experience that combines language learning, outdoor adventure, and personal growth — all within a safe, supportive environment.

Why Northbourne Park's English Summer Adventure Camp?

Immersive English

Northbourne Park School is a thriving, independent preparatory school, renowned for excellence in languages, outdoor education, and sport. Our long-standing summer camp provides specialist support for overseas pupils, with high-quality English tuition. Our differentiated English programme helps your child build confidence and fluency. Pupils spend 15 hours per week in class, focusing on speaking, listening, and vocabulary, taught by our qualified teachers.

Unlike many summer camp offers, children enjoy activities alongside English-speaking peers attending our other holiday camps, making every day an opportunity for authentic language practice with native speakers.

Outdoor Adventure & Exploration

With 100 acres of woodland and parkland, plus our partnership with nearby Betteshanger Park, pupils enjoy a wide range of outdoor challenges and adventures. In the afternoons, they can look forward to activities like archery, orienteering, survival skills, and nature exploration — combining fun, teamwork, and English practice while building resilience and confidence.

Northbourne Park has a strong sporting tradition, and our experienced coaches run sessions in sports as varied as cricket, football, volleyball, tennis, and more.

Planned excursions include opportunities to explore the beautiful Kent countryside, nearby towns, and the historic city of Canterbury. A highlight for many is a day trip to Chessington World of Adventures, one of the UK’s most popular theme parks.

Screen-free, meaningful experiences

Our camp is off-line, with no personal phones or unsupervised electronic devices allowed, except at set times for communication with home. This encourages friendship, focus, wellbeing, and confidence, as children enjoy real, shared experiences in a safe and supportive environment.

Structured Programme

The English Camp follows a carefully planned daily structure that balances learning, adventure, and social experiences. As well as outdoor adventure, our specialist coaches lead sessions in a variety of sports, including cricket, tennis, football, and more.

  • Mornings: English tuition
  • Afternoons: Outdoor adventure programme
  • Evenings:   Supervised activities and social sessions such as sport, arts & crafts activities, talent shows, quizzes, themed events

Safe & Supportive Environment

Living in our boarding houses allows pupils to experience life in a British boarding school, practising English at every turn and forming friendships with peers from around the world. Our dedicated Northbourne Park School staff ensure a safe, nurturing environment where every child can thrive, with the same staff team looking after pupils throughout their stay, providing 24-hour supervision.
