What the inspectors found (2025)
Northbourne Park was inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate between 28 April and 1 May 2025. Inspectors found that all the Standards were met, covering leadership and management, the quality of education, pupils’ physical and mental health and emotional wellbeing, pupils’ social and economic education, and safeguarding.

The inspection also considered the school’s request to extend its age range to include Year 9 from September 2027, and to increase capacity from 205 to 220 pupils. Inspectors recommended the change be approved, finding the school’s plans suitable to meet the needs of pupils aged 13 to 14.
Previous inspections
The school’s most recent inspection under ISI’s previous framework, in May 2017, judged the quality of pupils’ academic and other achievements as excellent, and found that pupils demonstrated excellent behaviour and reached high levels of attainment.
