For pupils who show particular aptitude, commitment and potential in one or more sports.

  • Creative and Performing Arts Scholarships

How will my child be assessed?

During Scholarship Week, candidates attend Northbourne Park School to take part in activities and assessments relevant to their chosen scholarship area.

Assessment may include:

  • Academic testing and written papers
  • A performance or portfolio review for Creative and Performing Arts
  • Skills assessment and observation for Sport

Each assessment is age-appropriate and designed to allow pupils to demonstrate both potential and performance.

Following assessment, the School determines whether to award a scholarship and the level of fee remission.

When will my child be assessed?

The next Scholarship Week runs from Monday 2 March to Friday 6 March 2026.

While most assessments take place during this week, we are flexible and welcome scholarship enquiries throughout the academic year. Alternative assessment arrangements can be discussed where necessary.

What happens after the scholarship assessment?

Following Scholarship Week, the School will contact parents promptly with the outcome of the assessment.

If your child is successful, a scholarship award will be offered. In most cases, this award will apply from the next academic year.

If parents choose to accept the scholarship, the standard admissions process will then begin. This includes:

  • A full taster day at Northbourne Park School
  • Completion of the required registration and entry documentation
  • Formal offer of a place, subject to the usual admissions procedures

More information about the admissions process can be found here.

How will my child benefit from a scholarship at Northbourne Park School?

Scholarship pupils benefit from:

  • An all-round excellent independent prep school education
  • Individual support and challenge in their specialist area
  • Mentoring and enrichment opportunities
  • Recognition of their achievement within the school community

Our aim is not only to reward existing ability, but to nurture and develop each child’s talent over time.

What are the financial benefits of a scholarship?

Scholarship awards usually provide up to 25% remission on day fees.

In some cases, scholarships may be supplemented by a means-tested bursary. However, the total value of combined financial awards cannot normally exceed 50% of fees.
