Congratulations to our budding authors!
Pupils in Years 3 and 4 took part in the BBC 500 Words competition recently. Children’s outcomes in reading and writing are very strong at the school and we are proud to engender commitment and excitement to creative writing!
Congratulations to Eshan in Year 5 who has taken his work to another level. He entered his poem entitled ‘My Refuge is my Home’ into the Young Writers competition and was over the moon to receive an award. We are all delighted to hear that his poem has been chosen for publication in a book showcasing young writer's work. Furthermore, a copy of this book will remain in the National Archives of the British Library forever! Well done, Eshan!
