Northbourne Park does not operate fixed application windows for international pupils. Families can enquire at any time, and we work around your circumstances and your child's start date.
Standard international admissions process
The process is straightforward and personal. It begins with a conversation.

Make an enquiry
Contact us by email or telephone, or complete our international enquiry form. We will respond within one to two working days. A video call with a member of the admissions team can be arranged to answer initial questions.

Visit or video call
Families are warmly encouraged to visit the school before committing. The Head Teacher leads all school visits. For families overseas, a video call with the Head Teacher and your child can be arranged. This forms part of the admissions process.

Register your child
We will share a registration form online. Completing this form and paying the registration fee of £120 (inclusive of VAT) registers your child as a prospective pupil.

Assessment on arrival
International pupils are assessed on arrival to establish their English level and place them in the appropriate Cambridge English group. This is not a selective assessment. It is a starting point for support.

Offer and confirmation
We will make a formal offer and share a Final Entry Form online. A refundable deposit of £1,000 for boarders, or £2,000 for pupils from outside the European Economic Area, confirms your child's place. Deposits are returned when your child leaves the school.

Start date confirmed
We will agree a start date with you. Intake is flexible. Pupils can join at the start of a term or, for shorter stays, at an agreed date within a term.

Visa information
The visa requirements for your child will depend on their nationality, their country of residence, and the length of their stay in the UK.
Short-Term Study
Pupils from the European Union, European Economic Area, and many other countries who study at the school for six months or less do not need a visa. The UK Government website provides a helpful tool to check if you need a visa to study.
Visa Support
If a visa is required, we will guide you through the application process in the months before your child starts. You will receive a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) number and other essential details.
