Visiting during the school day gives prospective families a genuine feel for life at Northbourne Park — its provision, its pupils and staff, and the character of the school.

What to expect

Visiting the school

Mr Mark Hammond, our Head Teacher, will lead your visit. He will take you on a tour of the school and its extensive grounds, including our boarding facilities, and give you a comprehensive overview of life at Northbourne Park.

If you or your child have particular areas of interest — such as Music, Sport or our learning support provision — please let us know in advance. We will do our best to arrange for you to meet relevant members of staff, subject to availability.

Visiting Squirrels Nursery

Nursery visits are led by the Head Teacher or a senior member of staff, who will show you around Squirrels Nursery and introduce you to the team. You will also have the opportunity to see the wider school.

If you would prefer to experience the nursery informally first, we also run weekly Stay and Play sessions in term time — a relaxed, no-commitment opportunity for you and your child to explore Squirrels together.

Unable to visit in person?

If you are unable to visit in person, we are happy to arrange an introductory video call with a member of our admissions team or the Head Teacher. This is a good opportunity to talk through the options available and ask any questions about the school.

Visit us at an open event

We also run termly open events, including Open Weeks and a dedicated Nursery Open Morning. These are an opportunity to visit alongside other prospective families, hear from staff, and see the school in action.
