Admissions Process

Northbourne Park's admissions process is straightforward and personal, built around your family rather than fixed deadlines. Unlike many schools, we work with families at a pace that suits them, with no set application windows or scholarship cut-off dates.

Reception to Year 9

1

Visit the school

Mr Mark Hammond, our Head Teacher, will lead your visit, show you around the school and its extensive grounds, and give you a full picture of life at Northbourne Park. If a visit is not possible, we are happy to arrange a video call with the Head Teacher or a member of our admissions team.

2

Register your child

We will share a registration form online. Completing this form and paying the registration fee of £120 (inclusive of VAT) registers your child as a prospective pupil.

3

Taster day

Your child joins the class for an informal day, taking part in lessons and meeting staff and pupils. We will give you feedback at the end of the day. An overnight taster can also be arranged for boarding pupils. For families unable to visit in person, a video call with your child can be arranged instead.

4

Offer and confirmation

We will make a formal offer of a place and share a Final Entry Form online. A refundable deposit of £500 (day) or £1,000 (boarding) confirms your child's place. Non-European Economic Area boarding pupils are required to pay a refundable deposit of £2,000. The deposit is returned when your child leaves the school.

Squirrels Nursery

The Nursery admissions process is simpler and involves no taster day.

1

Visit the nursery

A visit led by the Head Teacher or a senior member of staff, so you can see Squirrels during the day, meet the team, and get a feel for how it works.

2

Register your child

We will share a digital registration form. Completing this form and paying the registration fee of £120 (inclusive of VAT) registers your child as a prospective nursery pupil.

3

Offer and confirmation

We will make a formal offer and share the entry forms online. A refundable deposit of £500 confirms your child's place. Children may start from the half term after they turn two, with a settling-in session before their first day.
