Annie the Musical | Senior Production 2024

Annie the Musical | Senior Production 2024

Last week, the stage at Northbourne Park was alive with a vibrant performance of 'Annie', the beloved musical.

Talented children from our Senior classes came together to bring the heartwarming tale of the optimistic orphan to life. With a legendary repertoire that included hits like "Tomorrow", the young performers captivated the audience, showcasing their acting, singing, and dancing skills. The performance not only highlighted the school's commitment to music and drama education, but also the children's dedication and hard work.  As ever, we are indebted to our teachers and parent helpers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to bring the production life. It was a display of youthful exuberance and talent that left the audience with smiles and the timeless message of hope and resilience!

In our newsletter at the end of the week, Mr Hammond said:

I have been so proud of our staff and senior pupils this week as they put together a truly magnificent performance of ‘Annie’. As many of you know, I am passionate about the benefits of a 13+ education, giving our young people the chance to shine, develop and find their confidence during the transitional years from childhood to adolescence. The senior play this week exemplifies why this is so true at Northbourne Park. In addition to the stars of the show (who were brilliant!), it was amazing to see children who would not otherwise be on stage or behind the scenes having the courage to step up and be part of something special. The quality of engagement, acting, singing and dancing was impressive all round, and many children stepped out of their comfort zone and challenged themselves to new achievements.
