Years 3 and 4
Years 3 and 4 are an exciting time for the children as they move from the Pre-Prep into the Prep School. Guided by their class teacher, the children enjoy all the opportunities on offer and are well looked after by the older children.
There is that sense of awe and wonder as they begin Science lessons every week in the Science laboratory with our specialist Science teacher. They also enjoy an innovative programme of Art and D.T. in the Design Studio that includes pottery, printing, sculpture and textiles.
In Year 4, the children build on this foundation in terms of their academic progress as well as participating in the wide range of extra-curricular activities.
Year 3 and 4 make up the Under 9 squad for sport and regularly play team sports against other schools as well as developing skills in gymnastics, tennis, badminton and other sports.
In addition, Year 3 and 4 work hard to put together a musical production in the summer term that invariably ignites a passion for Drama and singing.
Together with their learning, this all makes for an engaging, interactive, at times challenging but fun school experience.
