Overnight Camps

Our Saturday lessons lead towards a Senior Camp (Years 7, 8 and 5e) and an Intermediate Camp (Years 5 and 6, 6e), in which the children spend a night out under the survival shelters that they have constructed.  Each year we try to base the camp around an exciting scenario giving the children the opportunities to put into practice what they have learnt in their leadership lessons.

For example:  knots and lashings, team building and communication, constructing a shelter,
fire lighting and construction, cooking on an open fire evening meal and breakfast

“A once in a lifetime experience… fantastic and very fun.”  says a Year 8 pupil

Year 3 & 4 Camp

Years 3 and 4 children experience an overnight camp within the school grounds. Children work in teams on a variety of fun filled activities and  host a traditional campfire.

Year 2 Camp

Year 2 children participate in a camp afternoon where children have the opportunity to make dens, sing around the campfire and cook on an open fire.
