A great afternoon was enjoyed by all at this year's sports day. New arrangements for the day saw all students participating during the afternoon. Competition between the houses was as hot as ever, matched only by the weather.

The afternoon saw a number of new school records set (Mr Sides did try to sell them as new world records!).  In the field events, Oscar Jackson set a new record for the senior boys' long jump, Louis Glynn-Williams and Elena Duffy set new boys' and girls' records for the intermediate javelin. In the trek events, Will Lench set a new record for the intermediate boys 1500 metres. New records for the 800 metres were set for the girls' intermediates by Elodie Tweedie and for the boys' juniors by Oscar Wombell.

The relays were hotly contested and the tugs of war, the usual noisy fun.

Marlborough emerged the victors of the afternoon to take the cup with 316 points, followed by Drake (308), Nelson (304) and Wellington (278).

Congratulations to the individuals who have won the prizes for the most points scored during the term.
