Since 2000 considerable investment has been made in new developments and refurbishment.Planning permission was obtained for a multi phase development to build new boarding accommodation, and to refurbish and develop certain areas of the main house.

To date we have built a new boarding house for girls with large 5 bedded rooms, each with en-suite facilities, common rooms with computers and internet access and kitchen areas.

New changing rooms have been built at the side of the Sports Hall, which itself has been repainted, with new curtains and indoor cricket nets.

The old changing rooms have been converted into a state of the art Science Laboratory, to provide excellent facilities for the senior pupils. The junior pupils now have exclusive use of the old laboratory which gives opportunity for more practical work.

The old girls’ boarding accommodation has been converted into 6 music practice and teaching rooms, which together with the refurbished music teaching room has become an integrated music school. They have been equipped with new pianos and some digital keyboards, and this has enabled more supervised practice periods for greater numbers of pupils.

The Art room has been enlarged to incorporate an area for design and technology as well as to increase storage space. The Pottery has been refurbished with a new thatched roof and new door and window frames.

The boys' boarders accomodation has been upgraded and redecorated and given new furnishings making the dormitories very much home from home. Last year the main corridors and staircases of the main house were decorated and new lighting installed.

Significant investment has also been made at the Old Rectory pre-prep over the last year. The drive was resurfaced making parents much happier!
