Northbourne Showstoppers busk for charity.

Three of our senior pupils (pictured L-R) Oliver Hope on saxophone, Bella Ford on vocals and Arran Hope on electric violin, better known as the Northbourne Showstoppers, spent some of their precious summer holidays busking for NPS’s preferred charity, The Martha Trust, which helps severely disabled adults and children. They gave three performances, one in Deal High Street and two in Canterbury by the cathedral gates, entertaining shoppers and tourists and raised over £450 for the Trust. The Northbourne Showstoppers received a great reception on every occasion with crowds gathering to listen and even take photos. One passing Russian tourist, who teaches in the St Petersburg Conservatoire, was “amazed at their abilities for ones so young”!

They played a range of music from Phantom of the Opera to Jesus Christ Super Star, If I were a rich man from Fiddler on the Roof, Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen and I’d Do Anything from Oliver and loved every minute of it.
