Good Schools Guide

The Good Schools Guide has some nice things to say about us this year. Here are a cfew snippets:

"The school is growing and going from strength to strength"

"Very fortunate to  have such a loyal and enthusiastic team of staff"

"Traditional values, a strong work ethic and a belief in and encouragement of service to the community. "

"Not a grand school – great sense of informality and freedom with a cosy family feel."

"Children are encouraged to climb trees and each year group has a designated area of woodland where they are allowed to play"

"A broadly Christian foundation with great emphasis on instilling a sense of care and respect for the needs of others both within and outside the school."

"a well scuffed and happy place"

"One class per year of about 15 children with a maximum of 18. Children are not setted or streamed and the scholarship children are taught within the class. The brighter children are extended and the less able are nurtured and encouraged."

" Lots of building and refurbishment plans afoot and interactive whiteboards beginning to pop up around the school – five so far. Well equipped ICT room. New girls boarding house recently refurbished with bright airy dormitories."

"The French and Spanish programme a particular selling point...charming to hear the twitter of French and Spanish voices in the corridors. The children interact well and lots of close friendships are forged here with much to-ing and fro-ing across the Channel during the holidays"
