There are currently just under 200 children at the school with an even mix of boys and girls who all get on well together. We strive to mix the children where ever possible and girls and boys work well together in areas such as school projects, outdoor education teams and sports. Only the boarding houses are separate.

Northbourne Park is both a day and a boarding school. Day and boarding children live very happily together and boarders will regularly visit the homes of day children.

Two thirds of the students are day pupils from the local area and most live within 35 minutes drive from the school (Folkestone and Dover to the West, Sandwich and Thanet in the East and Canterbury and its surrounding villages further North). We provide daily mini-bus services from Deal, Littlebourne and Bridge.

Children can board from the age of 7 and our boarders include local children where the parents work away, our French and Spanish students, children from London and army families.

We also offer a very popular flexi-boarding facility where children can board from time to time to suit family arrangements.
